What we would tell you in the studio

  • Wide leg cut. The trousers fall straight from the hip down to a wide hem. This open geometry gives the legs plenty of room to swing freely while walking, keeping the line clean without clinging to the knees.
  • Waistband and closure. We combined a structured front with an elastic section along the waistband. A traditional button and zipper fly keeps the front looking tailored while the stretch core adjusts cleanly across a full day of wear.
  • Side pockets. Two functional slip pockets sit along the side seams. They lie flat against the fabric when empty and offer quick space for small items without adding bulk around the high hip.
  • Fabric and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors, then tumble dry low or hang them up to dry. The woven blend resists wrinkles and maintains its deep black shade wash after wash.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
