What we would tell you in the studio
- Wide leg cut. The legs fall wide and straight from the hips down. The fabric hangs away from the legs, creating room through the thighs and ankles without clinging as you walk.
- Elastic high waist. An elastic waistband anchors the trousers high on the waist. The stretch band gives without binding, making the fit accommodating across long hours of wear.
- Side seam pockets. We built deep pockets directly into the side seams. They sit smooth against the hips when empty and hold small daily items without pulling the waist down.
- Laundering and care. Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water with similar colours. Lay flat to dry or hang out of direct sun so the stretch yarn holds its shape and pattern.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
