What we would tell you in the studio
- Wide leg drape. The legs cut wide from the hip down, leaving ample room through the thigh and calf. The knit hangs freely without clinging to the skin as you walk.
- High elastic waistband. The elastic band sits high on the waist, holding its position without digging in. It expands easily when pulling them on and contracts back to its resting shape.
- Pocket placement. We set deep pockets directly into the side seams so they sit flat when empty. They give you a place for your hands without pulling on the outer line of the trousers.
- Yarn and laundering. The lightweight knit holds its pattern and recovery wash after wash. Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water and hang or lay flat to dry so the seams stay straight.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
