What we would tell you in the studio
- Wide leg cut. The leg stays roomy from the upper thigh down to the floor. Because the knit has weight, it hangs away from the body rather than clinging, giving you space through the knees and ankles.
- High elastic waist. We knit the waistband with internal stretch so it sits high on the waist and stays put without hardware. It gives across a full day of wear and pulls on easily.
- Integrated side pockets. Two pockets are set directly into the side seams. They lie flat against the hip when empty and carry small everyday items without dragging the waist down.
- Washing and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar dark items. Lay them flat on a drying rack so the heavy, wet hem does not pull the waistband out of shape.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
