What we would tell you in the studio

  • Fabric and structure. We blend wool with durable yarns for a firm surface that resists cold wind. The fabric holds its shape through the body without feeling stiff or heavy as you move.
  • Notch lapel and front. The front closes with sturdy buttons below a broad notch lapel. When buttoned up, the collar sits flat; left unbuttoned, the panels fall straight down the sides without bunching.
  • Maxi length coverage. The hem drops well below the knee to protect against drafts. Deep side pockets sit along the seam line to keep hands warm and hold daily carry without bulging the silhouette.
  • Care and maintenance. We recommend dry cleaning to preserve the tailored shoulders and crisp front edges. For light care at home, spot clean cold and steam on low heat to release storage folds.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
