Women's 2 Piece Matching Sets

We knit this two-piece set from a soft, stretchy rib in warm apricot. The top is cut short with a front zip, adjustable hood, and ribbed cuffs that hold the wrists. Below, the matching trousers drop from a ribbed rollover waist into a flared leg.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Ribbed top construction. The hooded top is cropped short and closes with a front zipper. Ribbing bands the cuffs and lower waist, while matching drawstrings tighten the hood around the neckline.
  • Rollover waist trousers. We shaped the trousers with a wide ribbed waist that folds over and secures with a small buckle accent. The knit sits close through the thigh and flares toward the hem.
  • Warm apricot yarn. Both pieces are knitted from the same apricot dye lot for an exact colour match. The vertical ribbing adds natural crosswise stretch that moves and recovers as you walk.
  • Washing and care. Hand wash this set in cold water or dry clean to protect the rib structure and the metal zipper. Lay both pieces flat on a clean towel to dry.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
