What we would tell you in the studio

  • Halter neck and racerback. The neck band anchors the piece, leaving the shoulders open before narrowing into a clean racerback. The armholes are cut deep enough to move freely without gaping.
  • Fine gauge yarn. We chose a blended yarn that feels cool and dry against bare skin. The knit holds recovery across the chest so the surface stays flat and does not sag as the day goes on.
  • Straight waist hem. The hem is finished with a self-start edge that sits flat against high-rise waistbands. It ends right at the waistline without rolling up or bunching when you sit.
  • Gentle wash care. Hand wash in cold water or run a gentle machine cycle with mild soap. Lay the top flat on a dry towel away from direct heat to preserve the elasticity of the knit.

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
