Womens Lace V Neck Long Sleeve Tops Fall Shirts

We knit this top in a light, fine-gauge rib that hangs away from the torso. The open v-neck is framed with lace detailing, while the body cuts short at the hem. It pairs easily with high-waisted bottoms or under heavier jackets.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Lace open neck. The v-neckline drops into an open cut edged with delicate lace trim. It sits flat against the collarbone without pulling tight across the shoulders.
  • Fine rib texture. Knitted in a fine vertical rib, the fabric provides gentle lateral stretch. The yarn feels smooth against bare skin and holds its shape through regular wear.
  • Roomy cropped cut. The body is cut wide and loose, falling straight down to a shortened hemline. This proportion balances the full-length sleeves and keeps excess bulk out of the waist.
  • Care and handling. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, preferably inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the lace. Lay flat on a clean towel to dry.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
