What we would tell you in the studio
- Brushed yarn hand. The blend yarn carries a soft brushed texture that feels smooth against the skin. It gives light warmth without adding weight or bulk under heavier outer coats.
- Open front cut. We shaped this with a plain round neckline and an open front that does not fasten. The body hangs away from the torso, falling straight to a mid-thigh hem.
- Long sleeve shape. The sleeves are cut long and roomy enough to slide over long-sleeve base layers without pulling. They rest naturally along the arm without tight cuffs.
- Washing and care. Machine wash this knit on a cold, gentle cycle to preserve the soft surface texture. Reshape the body while damp and lay it flat to dry instead of hanging.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
