What we would tell you in the studio
- Open crew neckline. The collar sits in a clean, round crew shape that stays flat against the neck. It frames whatever you wear beneath without bunching up or pulling back as you move.
- Roomy sleeve cut. We knit the sleeves long and loose down the arm. They slide over long-sleeve tees and woven shirts without binding around the elbow or catching at the wrist.
- Light brushed yarn. The yarn carries a fine brushed surface with natural give from the knit structure. It provides light warmth while remaining thin enough to fold small into a bag.
- Cold water care. Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water with similar dark tones to protect the brushed surface. Lay the knit flat on a dry towel to maintain the shape.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
