What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck and buttons. A simple round crew sits close to the collarbone. The front placket fastens with tonal buttons that keep the neckline tidy when worn fully closed.
- Short body drape. The hem rests high on the waist, balancing the wider body. It hangs clear of the torso without pulling tight across the back or waist.
- Soft lightweight yarn. We blended fine synthetic yarns for a smooth hand that sits soft against bare skin. The knit is light enough to pack down small in a bag.
- Washing and shape care. Turn the knit inside out and machine wash cold in a mesh bag, or wash by hand. Reshape the damp piece and lay it flat on a towel to dry.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
