What we would tell you in the studio
- Open crew structure. The neckband sits in a clean crew shape that stays open down the front. Because there are no buttons or fastenings, the front edges hang straight and move naturally as you walk.
- Fine lightweight knit. We used a light-gauge yarn that keeps the body thin and flexible. The fabric has enough drape to hang away from the torso rather than cling, making it easy to wear over base layers.
- Lower patch pockets. Two open pockets are set directly onto the front panels. They sit flat against the knit when empty, giving you a place to rest your hands or drop small items without pulling the hem out of shape.
- Gentle washing care. Wash this piece on a cold cycle inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the fine stitches. Lay it flat across a drying rack away from direct heat so the long body keeps its shape.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
