Womens Linen Blend Summer Beach Vacation Wide Leg Palazzo Pants

We cut these wide-leg palazzo trousers in an airy linen and rayon blend that hangs loose and straight to the floor. The elastic waistband adjusts with a drawcord, letting the fabric fall away from the waist without pulling. Dusty Pink gives the plain weave a soft, sun-washed cast.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Linen blend yarn. A blend of linen and rayon gives the fabric a slightly textured surface with a cool, dry hand. The rayon adds softness so the weave falls smoothly down the leg instead of holding rigid creases.
  • Wide leg cut. The legs run wide and straight from the hip down, leaving generous room for air to move. It creates an open shape that sits away from the skin in warm weather.
  • Drawstring waistband and pockets. An elastic channel holds the waist securely, while the matching drawstring allows you to fine-tune the fit. Two deep side pockets sit flat along the seams without adding bulk.
  • Care instructions. Machine wash on a cold cycle inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the weave. Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly, or lay flat to dry in the shade.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
