What we would tell you in the studio

  • Snap front neckline. Metallic snap buttons run down the center front below an open v-neckline. You can fasten them high or leave the placket open over a camisole base.
  • Roomy torso cut. The fabric hangs loose from the shoulders without clinging through the waist. The hem finishes squarely at the hip line so the knit stays put over denim or tailored trousers.
  • Fine gauge drape. We use a smooth, fine-knit yarn blended for give and recovery. It resists wrinkling through a full day of movement and feels soft and light directly against bare skin.
  • Cold wash care. Machine wash this top on a gentle cycle in cold water with similar shades. Lay it flat across a drying rack so the knit keeps its shape and the sleeves do not stretch.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
