Womens Long Sleeve Tunic Fall Tops V Neck Shirts

We cut this tunic in a brushed mid-weight knit that hangs clear of the torso without clinging. The criss-cross neckline is framed by decorative buttons, leading down to dropped shoulders and textured ribbed sleeves. It lands around the hip with side vents that keep the hem moving freely.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Criss-cross neck detail. The front neckline crosses over into an open V, finished with decorative faux-wood buttons anchored securely along the band. It frames the collarbone without pulling tight against the throat.
  • Contrast ribbed sleeves. We shifted the knit texture along the arms, using a defined rib gauge from the dropped shoulder down to the wrist. The sleeves offer gentle stretch while keeping their shape through the day.
  • Curved vented hem. The lower edge is cut in a gentle high-low curve that finishes around the hip. Side slits give the fabric room to drape cleanly over trousers, leggings, or jeans without bunching.
  • Brushed yarn hand. The blue yarn is lightly brushed across the surface for a soft, matte finish against bare skin. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and lay flat or tumble low to protect the stitches.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
