What we would tell you in the studio

  • Fine rib structure. The vertical ribbing runs the length of the dress, giving the knit its close fit and horizontal give. It recovers its shape after hours of wear without bagging out at the elbows or seat.
  • High mock collar. The band sits upright around the base of the neck. It stays smooth without extra fabric to roll down, pairing easily under heavy coats or tailored jackets.
  • Set-in long sleeves. We cut the sleeves long and straight to match the slim line of the body. The ribbed knit holds close through the forearm and finishes in a clean, unrolled cuff.
  • Cold water care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle to protect the fine gauge and elasticity. Tumble dry on low heat, or lay flat to dry to keep the short hem level.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
