What we would tell you in the studio

  • Cut and line. The dress follows the line of the body from the shoulders through the hips. It stays close down the skirt, creating a continuous column that finishes near the ankle.
  • Neck and sleeves. A plain crew neckline sits flat at the base of the throat. The sleeves run long and narrow to the wrist, mirroring the close fit of the main body.
  • Yarn and stretch. The yarn blend has enough give to pull on easily and spring back into shape. It feels smooth against the skin and holds a steady drape across hours of wear.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle or dry clean. Lay the dress flat on a towel to dry so the long skirt keeps its length and knit tension.
