What we would tell you in the studio
- Pique knit texture. The small geometric pique stitch creates a dry, structured surface across the entire sweater. It holds its boxy shape away from the torso instead of clinging, and the yarn stays smooth against bare skin.
- Raglan shoulder construction. Diagonal raglan seams run from the underarm straight to the round crew neckline. This removes the shoulder seam entirely, allowing the long sleeves to drape freely without stiff corners or pulling.
- Cropped lower hem. The body is cut wide and finishes at a short length. It meets high-rise denim cleanly and pairs over collared woven shirts without bunching around the hips or lower back.
- Washing and shape care. Wash by hand or use a gentle machine cycle with cold water and mild soap. Squeeze the excess water out without twisting the knit, then dry it flat on a towel to preserve the square cut.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
