What we would tell you in the studio
- High ribbed neck. The collar stands tall around the throat in a sturdy rib knit. It holds its upright shape without squeezing or folding down under outer layers.
- Dropped shoulder line. We set the armholes low on the body to give the long sleeves extra room across the upper arm. The sleeve narrows down toward a wide ribbed cuff.
- Cropped straight hem. A wide band of ribbing finishes the lower edge, keeping the hem straight and tidy. Because it lands high, it pairs easily with high-waisted bottoms without bunching.
- Washing and drying. Hand washing in cold water keeps the yarn soft and smooth over time. If using a machine, select a gentle cold cycle with mild soap and lay the knit flat to dry.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
