What we would tell you in the studio
- Chunky rib structure. The knit has visible weight and horizontal give. It holds its open shape while you walk, giving the hem a steady line that settles around the lower hip or upper leg.
- Lantern sleeve shape. Each sleeve widens along the forearm before gathering into a dense ribbed cuff. This construction keeps excess fabric off your hands while holding fullness through the arm.
- Open front layering. We designed the body with ample room across the back and shoulders. It slips over collared shirts, lightweight knits, or standard jersey tops without pulling at the armholes.
- Washing and flat drying. Hand wash in cold water or run a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Lay the knit flat on a towel to dry, avoiding hangers so the heavy yarn does not stretch out.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
