What we would tell you in the studio
- Chunky gauge knit. The knit has visible weight and substantial stretch that lets the body move freely. It hangs away from the torso in a clean vertical line, giving you plenty of space for thick baselayers underneath.
- Lantern sleeve shape. Each sleeve widens gently down the arm before gathering back in at the ribbed cuff. The cuff holds close to the wrist so the extra volume stays stacked neatly at your forearm instead of dragging.
- Open front line. A simple crew boundary finishes the collar and runs straight down the open front edges. Without buttons or hardware to catch, the front panels sit naturally side by side as you walk.
- Washing and drying. Hand wash or use a gentle cycle with cold water to protect the yarn elasticity. Avoid bleach and tumble drying entirely. Press out excess moisture in a towel and dry flat on a rack to keep the hem true.

- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
