What we would tell you in the studio

  • Brushed knit texture. The fabric is knitted with a fine face and a lightly brushed interior. It yields plenty of mechanical stretch and keeps its soft surface through regular wear, staying light rather than thick or bulky against the skin.
  • Henley button neckline. A small button placket opens the crew neckline into a gentle notch when unfastened. We added a single patch pocket across the chest to balance the front, while the short sleeves finish with clean, flat hems.
  • Straight trouser cut. The pull-on trousers hang straight down through the leg with enough room to move easily. Two deep side pockets sit flat along the seams to hold daily items without weighing down the waistband.
  • Laundering and care. Wash both pieces together in cold water on a gentle cycle to preserve the deep coffee brown tone evenly. Tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to dry to keep the brushed fleece finish smooth.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
