Womens 2 Piece Lounge Sets Fall Outfits Airport Travel Sweatsuits

We knit this two-piece set from a light, brushed yarn that feels soft on the reverse side. The top has a buttoned Henley placket and short sleeves, cut loose through the body so it sits away from the skin. Paired with straight-leg trousers, it functions as a single shade from shoulder to ankle.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Brushed knit texture. The yarn has a fine brushed face that holds a gentle loft without adding bulk. It has enough built-in give to stretch through the shoulders and recover its shape after long hours of sitting.
  • Henley neck and chest pocket. We finished the top with a neat button placket that buttons high or unfastens to rest open. A single patch pocket sits flat against the chest, mirroring the clean lines of the collar band.
  • Trouser waistband and pockets. The matching trousers pull on with an elasticated waist that stays flat under the hem of the top. Deep side pockets are sewn into the seams to hold small items without pulling the knit out of line.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash the top and trousers together on a cold cycle to keep the deep grey tone consistent. Line dry or dry flat to protect the brushed finish and preserve the shape of the hems.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
