What we would tell you in the studio

  • Chunky body knit. The body uses a thick knit that holds its own shape away from the torso. It provides heavy warmth for cool days without feeling stiff, and the deep wine yarn has a soft, matte finish against bare skin.
  • Elbow length cuffs. The dropped shoulder transitions into a wide batwing shape through the upper arm. From the elbow down to the wrist, dense ribbing gathers the fullness and holds the long sleeve firmly in place while you move.
  • Upright mock neck. The collar is ribbed to stand straight along the base of the throat without rolling down or gripping tightly. It stays structured beneath heavy coats and keeps cool air off the neck throughout the day.
  • Laundering and drying. Wash this chunky piece by hand in cool water with gentle soap. Squeeze the excess moisture out into a clean towel without twisting, then lay it flat on a drying rack so the heavy hem does not stretch.
