What we would tell you in the studio
- Open draped front. The front panels are cut to drape loosely without fastenings, creating soft folds as you walk. It stays open to show whatever base top or tee you put underneath.
- Lightweight stretch yarn. The fine gauge knit has a soft, smooth hand against the skin and a gentle give that moves with you. It adds light coverage without bulk during warmer transitions.
- Deep patch pockets. Two front patch pockets sit flat against the lower panels. We set them low for easy access to a phone or keys without pulling the hemline out of shape.
- Gentle wash care. Wash on a gentle cycle in cool water and lay flat to dry so the open panels keep their shape. Use a cool iron if you need to press out storage creases.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
