What we would tell you in the studio
- Cascading open front. The front edges hang unfastened with soft lapels that fold back as you move. Without buttons or zips along the placket, the front stays clean and layers over tees, tanks, or collared shirts without catching.
- Fine-gauge stretch knit. We use a lightweight knit with added stretch that keeps its recovery through continuous wear. The fabric feels soft against bare skin and holds enough weight to let the lower panels drape without clinging.
- Deep patch pockets. Two rectangular pockets are set flat onto the front panels, placed low enough to rest hands inside. The openings are finished with self-fabric edging so they sit flush against the body of the knit when empty.
- Care and maintenance. Wash this piece on a gentle cycle in cold water and lay it out flat on a towel to dry. Avoid hanging it wet so the knit does not stretch out under its own weight.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
