- Cable and eyelet gauge. The knit pattern pairs raised cable braids with small open eyelet holes. This structure gives the grey yarn visible surface texture while allowing air through the stitch work, so the layer feels light over shirts.
- Button through front. Matched buttons close the front placket straight up to the crew neck band. Fastened fully, it wears as a standalone top layer; unbuttoned, the front edges hang straight down the torso.
- Roomy sleeve shape. Long sleeves drop into a generous cut through the arm and gather lightly at the ribbed wrist. The extra room lets it slide over long-sleeve tees and woven tops without binding at the elbow.
- Wash and flat dry. Wash this piece in cool water on a gentle cycle, avoiding bleach entirely. Press the excess water out in a clean towel and dry it flat on a rack so the cable geometry keeps its shape.
