What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck and armholes. The neckline is banded with a clean round crew that sits flat against the collarbone. Cleanly finished armholes leave the shoulders bare without pulling or gaping when you move.
- Waist tie construction. An attached tie wraps at the natural waistline so you can knot it at the front or side. The fabric gathers lightly beneath the tie while the skirt continues straight down.
- Short straight hem. The hem lands short on the thigh, cut straight across the front and back. The dense knit helps keep the bottom edge from curling or riding up during normal wear.
- Washing and care. Machine wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the waist ties and seams. Tumble dry on a low heat setting, or lay the dress flat on a clean towel to dry.
