What we would tell you in the studio
- Wide open neckline. The wide neck sits off the shoulders without collapsing, knit with a clean edge that rests flat against the skin and stays in place as you move.
- Fine ribbed body. We use a fine-gauge rib knit throughout the torso. The structure provides natural elasticity, following the outline of the body without bunching or adding bulk under jackets.
- Cropped hem finish. The lower edge finishes short near the waistline. It pairs naturally with high-rise denim, knit skirts, or trousers without needing to be folded or tucked.
- Cold water washing. Wash by hand in cold water without bleach to protect the elasticity of the ribbed stitch. Lay the sweater flat on a clean towel to dry so the neck band keeps its shape.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
