What we would tell you in the studio
- Wide off-shoulder band. The neckline is knitted with an elasticated rib band that stays set across the shoulders. It holds its position while you move, giving the top a clean horizontal line across the chest.
- Fine gauge ribbing. We use a fine-gauge rib knit that provides natural lateral stretch. It recovers its shape well after wearing, tracking close to the torso and along the full length of the slim sleeves.
- Cropped straight hem. The bottom edge finishes short, landing right above the hip line. It rests flat over denim waistbands or slip skirts, eliminating bulk when you want a clean waistline without tucking in fabric.
- Washing and shape care. Hand wash this piece in cold water with a gentle detergent and press the water out in a towel. Lay it flat on a drying rack to keep the ribbed neck and sleeves from stretching out.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
