Lounge Sets Womens 2 Piece Matching

We knit this two-piece set in a sunny yellow yarn with clean contrast trim along the edges. The dropped-shoulder crewneck pullover has deep side vents at the hip, paired with wide-leg trousers on an elastic waistband. Both pieces hang away from the body without clinging.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crewneck top and sleeves. The pullover has a simple round neckline with contrast binding. Dropped shoulders lead into full-length sleeves that finish with neat trim rather than tight cuffs, keeping the shape loose and easy over the arms.
  • Wide-leg trouser cut. We knit the trousers with a straight, roomy leg from the hip down. An elastic waistband sits flat without hardware, and the knit drops cleanly without bunching as you walk.
  • Side-split sweater hem. The lower edge of the top lands near the hip, split open at both side seams. These vents allow the front and back panels to drape straight over the trouser waist.
  • Washing and shape care. Hand wash in cold water or run a gentle cold cycle with mild soap. Lay both pieces flat on a dry towel to dry so the knit retains its original length and weight.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
