What we would tell you in the studio
- Open neck cut. The neckline sits wide and low across the chest to keep the upper frame open. It rests flat against the skin without pulling forward when you move.
- Straight body line. We shaped the body to hang straight from chest to hem rather than tapering in. The fabric drops cleanly, giving you space through the torso and legs without extra bulk.
- Full sleeve length. Long sleeves extend straight to the wrists, providing steady coverage down the arm. They layer easily under coats or lighter jackets when the temperature drops.
- Washing and care. Machine wash on a gentle cycle using a laundry bag, or wash by hand in cool water. Skip the bleach and iron, then line dry to protect the shape of the fabric.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
