What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew neckline and sleeves. The top features a plain round crewneck that sits flat against the collarbone without stretching out of line. We knit the sleeves long and straight, giving them enough room to layer over a light tank.
  • Drawstring knit trousers. The trousers drop from an elastic waistband threaded with a matching tie. The knit falls straight down the leg, keeping an open hem that rests easily over house shoes or low sneakers.
  • Rayon blend yarn. We chose a rayon blend yarn for this pair to give it a soft hand and a clean, fluid drop. It carries enough weight to hold its shape while staying lightweight through the warmer shoulder seasons.
  • Care for the set. Turn both pieces inside out and place them in a mesh laundry bag before a cold machine cycle. Tumble dry on low or spread them flat on a towel to preserve the stitch shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
