Womens Cardigans Sweater Fall
A button-front knit layer with short sleeves and a wide, easy cut. We shaped the neckline into a plain round crew that sits flat at the base of the throat. The navy yarn is spun for a soft, brushed hand and knits up into a supple fabric that drapes away from the waist. It works buttoned up on its own or open over thin layers.

What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck closure. A clean round neckline fastens all the way up with a row of buttons. You can fasten every button to wear the piece as a stand-alone top or leave the placket open over a light camisole.
- Short sleeve proportion. We gave this cardigan short sleeves rather than a full arm. The shorter sleeve gives you the warmth of a knit through the core while keeping the wrists and forearms clear of extra bulk.
- Roomy straight drape. The body is cut wide and hangs away from the torso down to the hip line. Because the knit has weight and stretch, the sides fall naturally without clinging to base layers beneath it.
- Cold wash care. Hand wash or run this piece on a cold delicate cycle to protect the brushed yarn surface. Reshape the body while it is damp and dry it flat on a towel rather than hanging it.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
