What we would tell you in the studio

  • Ribbed knit stitch. We use a fine vertical rib across both pieces. The ribs expand when you sit or stretch, then draw back in so the knees and elbows do not bag out permanently.
  • Crewneck top cut. The pullover sits off the shoulders with a plain rounded crew. It falls straight past the waist without clinging, giving you room through the torso and under the arms.
  • Straight knit leg. The trousers hang straight from an elasticated waist down to the hem. Because they are knitted rather than woven, the yarn drops with its own gentle weight.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash in cool water on a gentle cycle, or wash by hand. Lay both pieces flat on a clean towel to dry rather than hanging them on a line.
