Womens Lounge Sets 2 Piece Matching Pajamas Fall Outfits

We knit this two piece set from a flexible ribbed yarn with generous give. The top has a clean crewneck and long sleeves, falling away from the torso down to the hip. Paired with matching bottoms in the same dark grey dye lot, both pieces keep their stretch through regular wear and machine washing.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Rib knit construction. A vertical rib runs through both the top and bottoms, giving the knit lateral stretch that recovers when you move. The dark grey yarn has a soft, smooth face that rests easily against bare skin.
  • Crew neckline and sleeves. The round crewneck is finished with a clean band that sits flat at the collarbone. Full length sleeves fall straight from the shoulder down to the wrist without tight binding.
  • Roomy straight cut. We gave both pieces a loose hang that stays off the body. The top hem lands around the hip line, creating a balanced proportion over the matching knit bottoms.
  • Washing and care. Wash this set on a gentle machine cycle or by hand in cold water. Lay both pieces flat on a rack to dry so the ribbed knit keeps its shape and length.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
