Womens Lounge Sets 2 Piece Matching Pajamas Summer Outfit

We knit both halves of this brown lounge set to work together. The top sits loose with dropped shoulders and a clean round neck, while the shorts hold closer to the leg with side storage. It works as a sleep layer or for slow mornings at home.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew neck and cut. The top cut hangs away from the torso with a banded crew neckline that lies flat against the collarbone. Side splits at the lower hem give the fabric room to drape over the shorts waistband without bunching up.
  • Matched stretch shorts. We shaped the shorts to sit high on the waist with a wider elastic band. A flat pocket runs down the thigh for small items, and the leg hem lands cleanly without cutting into the skin.
  • Brown yarn hand. The knit has a light, supple feel against bare skin with built-in stretch that recovers after hours of sitting. Knitted together in one brown dye lot, the top and bottom hold an exact colour match across wear.
  • Wash and care. Machine wash cold inside out with like colours to protect the knitted surface. Lay both pieces flat on a clean towel to dry so the shorts retain their shape and the top hem stays level.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
