What we would tell you in the studio
- Mock neck construction. The collar stands upright in a fine rib that holds its shape through a full day. It gives the warmth of a high neck without folding over or binding around the throat.
- Merino blend hand. We spun merino wool with smooth synthetic fibres to create a lightweight, dense yarn. It rests flat against bare skin without prickle, holding warmth while staying thin enough to slide under tailored jackets.
- Roomy straight cut. The body drops straight and loose from the shoulders, clearing the waist and hips entirely. Long sleeves end in neat ribbed cuffs that gather gently around the wrists.
- Care and washing. Hand wash cold or run on a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Lay the knit flat on a dry towel to dry so the long hem and sleeves keep their shape.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
