What we would tell you in the studio
- Turtleneck collar. The neck is knitted tall so you can roll it down or let it bunch naturally. It stands away from the jaw without feeling tight against the skin.
- Batwing sleeve cut. Wide underarm shaping drops down from the shoulder, creating extra volume through the chest. Ribbed cuffs hold the lower sleeves firmly at your wrists.
- Split lower hem. The bottom edge sits loose around the hips and thighs, finished with side splits that allow the knit fabric to move freely as you walk.
- Washing and care. Machine wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag or wash by hand in cool water. Lay the piece flat on a towel to dry so the knit keeps its shape.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
