Womens Spring Short Sleeve Sweater Shirts Tops Summer

Horizontal red and navy blocks run across a lightweight cotton stitch. The body is cut wide and hangs away from the torso, while the hem stops short near the waistband. We set short sleeves into dropped shoulders to keep the profile relaxed through warm weather.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Cotton knit gauge. We use a lightweight cotton yarn with a smooth stitch definition. The fabric stays cool against bare skin, holding its shape without feeling dense or heavy.
  • Crew neckline and pocket. A banded round collar sits flat at the base of the throat. We knitted a small patch pocket on the chest, matching the horizontal stripe layout across the front panel.
  • Roomy cropped cut. The body hangs straight down from the shoulders and stops above the hip. This shorter length pairs naturally with high-rise knit trousers or wide-leg palazzo pants without bunching.
  • Washing and shape care. Wash by hand or use a gentle cold cycle with mild soap. Press out excess water in a towel and lay the knit flat to dry so the stripe bands stay square.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
