What we would tell you in the studio
- Ribbed stand collar placket. The high collar is knitted in vertical ribbing and opens with functional buttons down the placket. Leaving the top undone splits the collar into a clean V-neck profile that rests flat against the collarbone.
- Sleeve buttons and cuffs. Matching tonal buttons sit along the outside of each ribbed cuff for extra weight at the wrist. The ribbing holds the sleeve in place if you push it up toward the elbow.
- Roomy knit body. We gave the body a straight, loose drape that sits off the skin without clinging. The yarn has enough stretch to recover its shape after long days of wear and sitting.
- Care and washing. Hand wash or run on a gentle cycle in cold water inside a mesh laundry bag. Press out excess water with a towel and lay the knit flat to dry so the collar keeps its shape.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
