What we would tell you in the studio
- Ribbed stand collar. The high stand collar uses fine ribbing and unbuttons down the front to sit as an open notch. Leave the top open over a base tee or button it up close against cool air.
- Cuff and button details. Long sleeves end in wide ribbed cuffs set with small matching buttons along the seam. The rib holds close to the wrist so the sleeve pushes up the forearm without falling.
- Smooth yarn hand. The knit combines smooth spun yarns with built-in stretch, producing a clean face that feels soft directly against bare skin. It provides moderate weight suitable for indoor wear through autumn.
- Laundering the knit. Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water inside a mesh garment bag to protect the placket buttons. Lay flat on a towel to dry so the ribbed hem and sleeves keep their shape.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
