What we would tell you in the studio
- Ribbed stitch and drape. The knit uses a ribbed structure that stretches side to side and springs back into shape. It drops straight down without clinging, giving the garment enough weight to hang clear of your midsection.
- V-neck and button front. A set of front buttons runs up to an open V-neckline. You can fasten it all the way up over a collared shirt or leave it unbuttoned over a light tank as an open layer.
- Sleeve and side vents. Extended shoulders form small cap sleeves that rest gently over the shoulder seam. At the base, deep side vents break the hemline so the back and front panels fall naturally when you sit or stride.
- Nutmeg shade and care. The Nutmeg yarn carries an earthy, warm brown tone across the entire ribbed surface. Wash this piece by hand in cool water or dry clean it, then press out excess moisture and dry it flat.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
