What we would tell you in the studio
- Chunky waffle texture. The raised waffle grid creates small pockets of air across the fabric, adding visible depth and a dry hand. It holds its structure along the full length without sagging.
- Roomy open cut. We shaped the body with extra room through the torso and sleeves, letting it hang straight down without clinging. The open front layers over thick sweaters without binding at the underarms.
- Ribbed cuffs and hem. Wider ribbing finishes the wrists to keep the long sleeves in place when pushed up. A matching band anchors the bottom edge so the hem hangs level.
- Cold wash care. Wash by hand in cold water and press the water out gently between flat towels rather than wringing. Lay it flat to dry to keep the long waffle panels in their original shape.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
