What we would tell you in the studio
- Waffle knit body. The textured waffle pattern gives the long panels enough weight to hang straight down. It holds air in the grid of the stitch, which adds thickness without feeling dense or hard against your hands.
- Long open front. An open front lets the cardigan move freely as you walk. The length reaches well past the knee toward the ankle, creating a deep vertical line that layers over tees, shirts or fine gauge knits.
- Dropped shoulder line. We set the armholes low so the sleeves drape easily over thicker underlayers. Ribbed cuffs pull the knit back in at the wrists, keeping the long sleeves seated where you want them.
- Caring for heavy knits. Hand wash this cardigan in cold water and press the water out without wringing the fabric. Lay it flat on a dry towel to dry so the long hem keeps its original shape over time.

- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
