Womens 2 Piece Lounge Sets Fall Outfits Henley Shirts & Pants

We knit this two-piece lounge set in deep burgundy yarn with a soft, supple drape. The top features short sleeves and an open henley neckline that buttons down the front, paired with matching wide-leg trousers. Both pieces are cut with extra room to hang loose from the body.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Open henley collar. The top is built with a shaped neckline that opens into a buttoned henley placket. It sits away from the collarbone, framed by short sleeves cut with dropped shoulders for a relaxed line through the chest.
  • Cropped knit trousers. We knit the pants with wide legs that hang straight and end above the ankle. An elasticated waistband with an adjustable knitted drawstring keeps the waist flat without extra bulk at the hips.
  • Matched dye lot. Both the shirt and pants are knitted from the same burgundy yarn batch to ensure the shade matches from top to hem. The fine-gauge knit gives the fabric a smooth hand and a gentle drape.
  • Care and shape. Wash both pieces inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle, using a mild liquid detergent. Lay them flat on a towel to dry so the hems do not stretch out of shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
