Womens 2 Piece Lounge Sets Fall Outfits Henley Shirts & Pants

We knit this matching pair from a light, fluid yarn with plenty of natural give. The top has an open henley neckline and short sleeves, while the trousers hang wide through the leg and finish at a cropped hem. Both pieces share the same hot pink dye lot so the tone matches exactly.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Open henley neckline. The top opens into a shaped V-neck secured with small front buttons. It sits clean against the collarbone without clinging at the throat, making it easy to wear on warmer days.
  • Roomy boxy cut. We cut the short-sleeve top wide through the body so it falls away from the torso. The lightweight knit drapes straight down rather than pulling in at the waist.
  • Cropped wide trousers. The pants pull on with an elasticated drawstring waistband and fall into a broad, loose leg. The hem stops well above the ankle so the fabric moves freely as you walk.
  • Washing and care. Hand wash or run both pieces together on a gentle cold cycle to keep the hot pink yarn consistent. Reshape while damp and dry flat away from direct heat.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
