What we would tell you in the studio
- Raised cable structure. Cables run vertically from the shoulder down through the body and across the sleeves. The twists add weight and thickness to the knit, helping the piece hold its straight shape through regular wear.
- Clean crew collar. We framed the neckline with a simple round crew finished in sturdy ribbing. It sits flat against the collarbone without pinching, leaving room for a base tee or a buttoned shirt underneath.
- Sleeve and hem rib. Long sleeves finish in ribbed cuffs that stay put when pushed up your forearm. The hemline matches the cuffs with deep ribbing, settling right around the hip line without cinching the waist.
- Cool water care. Hand washing in cold water protects the cable definition. If you use a machine, select a gentle cycle with mild detergent, avoid bleach, and lay the sweater flat on a towel to dry.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
