What we would tell you in the studio
- Cable rope structure. The vertical cables add density and a textured surface across the front. The knit has enough weight to hold its shape across hours of wear without pulling tight across the chest.
- Round crew neckline. We finished the crewneck with a tight tubular band that stays flat against the base of the neck. It sits close enough to layer over a collared shirt or under a winter coat.
- Straight body and hem. The body falls in a direct line down to the hip. Ribbing at the bottom hem gives the edge a clean finish while letting the sweater hang freely over jeans, trousers, or skirts.
- Cold wash care. Hand wash this knit in cold water or run it on a gentle machine cycle with mild detergent. Press excess water out flat with a towel and dry it on a level rack.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
