What we would tell you in the studio
- Adjustable polo collar. A flat turn-down collar leads into an extended button placket. You can button it high or open it into an airy V-neck, depending on what you wear underneath.
- Roomy straight cut. The body follows a clean H-line shape with a loose hang through the torso. Long sleeves end in plain ribbed cuffs that hold their position when pushed up the forearm.
- Lightweight knit hand. We selected a smooth yarn blend with built-in stretch and a soft finish against bare skin. The knit provides gentle warmth without adding bulk under tailored jackets or trench coats.
- Washing and care. Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent to protect the knit structure. Press excess water out in a clean towel and lay flat on a drying rack so the long hem keeps its shape.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
